Be sure to stop in for a tasting. Further north is the quaint little town of Westport, which is well worth an exploratory stroll. Ten miles to the south, you'll find the city of Fort Bragg. Another ten miles south, you'll find the hyper-quaint village of Mendocino, with perhaps the highest per capita population of artists in the world. The Mendocino Arts Center is a must-see. Be sure to catch a show at the Mendocino Theatre Company when you're there. The hills around Mendocino are dotted with individual artists' studios, such as Cynthia Myers sand carved glass Perhaps classical music is your passion. The Symphony of the Redwoods offers concerts in the fall, winter, and spring. During the summer, there's the Mendocino Music Festival For gardeners, there's the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens, and several wonderful nurseries such as Digging Dog Nursery.
